Kick-off Symposium of the Cluster ETOS on September 22nd, 2023

On September 22nd, 2023, the first joint symposium of all ETOS participants took place at KIT. More than 80 guests from research and industry attended the meeting, among them the members of the steering committee as well as the international scientific advisory board of ETOS.

The welcome speech was given by Prof. Dr. Oliver Kraft (Vice President for Research of KIT), Prof. Dr. Stefan Müller-Stach (Vice President for Research and Early Career Academics of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz), Dr. Anastasia Vogel (BMBF), Dr. Dieter Labruier, and Nathalie Wiaterek (Projektträger Jülich). Afterwards, cluster spokespersons Prof. Dr. Sigfried R. Waldvogel and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrike Krewer gave an overview of ETOS.

The day was characterized by exciting presentations on cluster related projects and vivid discussions, finding new synergies and establishing contacts. The atmosphere was fantastic and the whole team highly motivated to develop the ideas and technologies around sustainable electroorganic synthesis and to establish it as a key technology in Germany.

We are very much looking forward to the multifaceted collaboration with our partners from research and industry and would like to express our sincere thanks to all participants who contributed to this unforgettable day.
